Supply List

A two-day workshop covering the basics of blocking in shapes with an emphasis on measurements and composition, and color mixing with an emphasis on value and temperature.

Supplies you will bring:

• Canvases or panels in standard sizes to include: 11x14”, 12x16” and 16x20”

• Brushes from flat sizes 4 through 6, Filberts or Brights same sizes, and size 2 brush of whichever of the above you are comfortable with for small details

• Rags or good paper towels and a plastic bag for disposal

• Glass jar with a lid or nickel brush washer with lid for Odorless Mineral Spirits (OMS.) Gamsol suggested

• Paper palette pad, wooden or glass palette - your preference

• Apron or smock

• Brush holder of some kind such as a can that won’t tip over easily

• Photo references to paint from, Julie will have photos to use too

• You can also bring any paintings you have in progress

Supplies provided:

• Shared oil paints will be provided during the workshop

• Julie’s color palette

• Cadmium Red light Alizarin Crimson or Quinacridone magenta Cadmium Yellow Deep Cad Lemon Yellow Yellow ochre Ultramarine Blue Phthalo or Cerulean Blue Titanium white

Pat has a few easels for your use, let her know table or floor easel.

There is a refrigerator and a microwave for your use. Bring or buy your lunch.

Coffee, tea, water and snacks are provided!
